Proteins at Work
large scale analysis of proteins
and their interactions in relation to biological functions

About us

Proteomics deals with large scale analysis of proteins and their interactions in relation to biological functions. Following technical and scientific breakthroughs, proteomics is now becoming more integrated with genetic information and clinical data. Proteins At Work will provide high level proteomics technology, equipment and expertise to the Dutch biological and biomedical communities. Proteins At Work will be essential for Life Sciences and Health research (e.g. prevention and diagnosis of cancer) and will contribute to the innovative climate in the Netherlands.

Funding
Proteins At Work is funded with 13.5 million euro by NWO as part of the 2011 call for a National Road Map for Large-scale Research Facilities, which aims to implement the European ESFRI Roadmap in the Dutch scienctific landscape. The project intends to start early 2014 and will run for at least 5 years.

Proteins At Work builds upon the Netherlands Proteomics Centre and the European large-scale proteomics facility PRIME-XS.

Proteins At Work is a programme of the Netherlands Proteomics Centre and is made possible by NWO and Utrecht University
