Analytical Hotel Groningen
The NPC Analytical Hotel Groningen provides expertise and assistance in experiments that require purification, separation, and high-resolution analysis of proteins. In these experiments proteomics tools are employed, along with biochemical and biophysical techniques. These techniques include:
- membrane and organelle isolation
- ultracentrifugation (analytical and preparative)
- gel- and solution-based (chromatography) separation of proteins and peptides (1- and 2-dimensional) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS)
The Analytical Hotel Groningen offers scientific support and knowledge to researchers. Their questions will focus on mass-spectrometry-based identification of proteins in highly complex mixtures. Or on biophysical characterisation of individual membrane proteins, protein complexes and their modifications.
